AHA ACLS Instructor Course

The American Heart Association ACLS Instructor Course is designed to prepare instructor candidates to teach the ACLS Provider Instructor-Led Training (ILT) course and the skills testing portion of the HeartCode ACLS blended learning course. The course educates instructor candidates on how to adequately use AHA Instructor teaching materials, ensure that students meet learning objectives, offer student coaching skills, provide an objective skills performance evaluation, and follow AHA Instructor and course policies.

PLEASE NOTE: Students must complete the AHA ACLS Instructor Essentials Online Class and bring their completion certificate to this class. The ACLS Instructors Essential Online class may be purchased at: 

ACLS INSTRUCTORS ESSENTIAL ONLINE PURCHASE LINK

Students must also have an AHA TC to align with prior to completing this class. A teaching evaluation will be necessary after this class is completed to gain certification.

Students must possess an ACLS instructor manual. 

Things you must have and bring to class:

  1. Copy of your completed Instructor Essentials certificate
  2. Copy of current ACLS provider card
  3. Affiliation agreement from your AHA Training Center stating they are willing to let you teach ACLS for them
  4. Date of an ACLS class happening after the instructor course where you can do your observed teaching
  5. An ACLS Instructor Manual

AHA BLS Instructor Course
